Teenage Love story

Students in high school are experiencing parenthood already, but aren't eligible to have a job yet. So what do they do to support their child, from their parents of course. Is it their parents fault that they had a child in an early age, that their parents have to experience supporting a child that is not theirs? Parents feel like a failure once their children does something like that? They would feel like they did not raise their child right, but is that the reason their child had to have a child of their own?

Most of the parents I know don't allow their child to have a boyfriend/ girlfriend because they don't think it's right to be in a relationship in an early age. Their relationships might be affected with their education, their life's, their family. Taking away that advantage from their children makes their child do everything they can do once they are not being watched by their parents. That's why their children does something bad and ends up being pregnant.

I've been in a relationship for more than two years, and you don't see me pregnant. Both our parents allow us to be together. So we are able to see each other any time we want to. So we aren't in any rush to doing anything we would regret. Students that are pregnant knows that once they are pregnant their parents wouldn't have any choice but to accept their child and the father.

Parents shouldn't be too strict with their children. Get to know them more, and if they do have a boyfriend or girlfriend, talk to them about. It's better to know about it than hiding it from you right? It may be uncomfortable, but they need you more than anything. Yes have limitations, but don't control their life's. They need to learn their mistakes on their own to be able to not go through it again. They would grow up anyway, but they would always be your baby, whatever happens.

Nothing's getting better.

Nothing has gotten better in this island. Many promises of making this island better, but their promises are just all words no action no help, and all problems. Power outages are increasing. They just can't make up their mind about what time to turn off the power which annoys me so much! I have things to do, andI think everyone else does. Where's all the money we are paying for, for our electricity. Our hard work of money seems to be going no where, but down the drain. They should make a proposal about a new power plant instead of using generators? They should use geothermal, wind, solar, or just anything besides nuclear.
In the eight grade we presented to the CUC, giving them some ideas of a new power plant, but what we did seemed like a waste of time for us and for them. The ideas we had were very helpful and seemed like a success to the island.
Power outages has really affected everyone in this island. We suffer the heat outside, so we would like to be relaxed inside the room with aircon or a fan, but there's two problems. One, the power is off. Two, its too expensive to turn on the aircon. I feel like this island is in such disaster, actually i don't think. I know it, and i think everyone in this island knows it. Most families are working so hard for the power, that they are not able to support their family. I just wonder how did this all start. Who is the person that put this island in so much tragedy. What or who has the answer to making our lifes a better place. I just wish they chose better leaders, not failures.

The economy has affected my family. Before both my parents were working, and we didn't just get what we wanted, we got what we needed. I had 4 dollars a day as an allowance, and now that my dad is the only one with a stable job i barely get 2 dollars a day. This has really affected my lifestyle. I couldn't go shopping every month, i can't go anywhere i want because of the gas. I can't turn on the air con whenever i want to. I hate going outside because of the mosquitoes, and sometimes i just can't take the heat. We are 5 in the family, and it is a hard job to bringing food in the table, and being able to have a family dinner, not a scary dinner with no light. My mom doesn't want us to suffer. She didn't accept the fact that my sister needed a job. She didn't want us to live a life like she did. Working so hard for her family, because her mother died when she was very young, then later her dad died. So it was a stress for her very much. There were 8 children in her family, 4 boys and 4 girls, she was the oldest for the girls so she had to be a mother for them. It was hard.
She just wants us to just focus in our education and not be stressed with a job, but with the economy going really bad everyone in this family needs to work.

Survival Guide for High School Life

Ready or not here it comes. Growing up is a part of life. You can't stop it from happening, everyone goes through it. Change is going to happen whether you like it or not. A major change would be your life style of the school you go to. Once you get accelerated to high school there would be a major difference then your Jr. high experience. What can i start with? Teachers, lessons, people, food, and many many more. From my experience how I'm surviving high school right now would be shared with you.

The first day of school, gosh it was so scary for me. I felt like i was diving into a pool with sharks ready to eat me alive. I walked around feeling lonely till i saw my friends. I felt so relieved. It felt like angels were saving me. So here's a tip it's really important to have your friends with you going through your high school life. You would need them, Trust me. They would be there for you through everything, and anything. You would need them socially, physically, and especially emotionally. You wouldn't feel insecure or uncomfortable around new people if your friends are with you. You will have a great experience in your high school years with your friends.

The major difference in high school that students are dealing with is change, not by school, but by their friends. Their friends tend to change because of the new people they hang out with, but a true friend will stick with you thick or thin until the end. You will find new friends yourself, but always stick with the people who has been there for you. Make new friends, but always keep your old friends. I've been with my friends since elementary and we have different friends, but we still have that love we have for each other.

High School has their fun times and their stressful times. School activities are something you should look forward too. Such as pep rallies, Sport activities, spirit week, election day, award ceremonies, and many more. They are memorable in your high school life with your friends, teachers, and everyone else. The stressful times are the exams, testings, and many more things, but it will be all worth it in the end. People tend to just don't give a crap about exams and think that you'll get what you want just by having fun, but they should stop dreaming and live in reality. You have to work your butt off to get what you want. It's not all fun and games in this world. Everything you work for will be all worth it. So i suggest you don't slack off, unless you want to repeat a grade all over again, and not be able to graduate with your friends.

Teachers are a major part of your lives. They are the people who help you achieve to your goals in the future. If they are an ass, or a person you can't deal with, you just got to deal with it. Give up or just get over with the fact you can't chose the people who comes in your lives. They would just be one of the people who helped you through your life. So teachers would push you to the ultimate power just for you to achieve what you dream of. So they are not doing it for them to make you suffer, but for you to learn and to have a life you want. Teachers in high school would be more strict. They know how to have fun, but when it's time for learning they get straight to the point. They don't give you second chances. They want you to be challenged, to over exceed their reputation to make yours better. If you want something so bad you just have to deal with everything that comes your way to get what you want.

Surviving in Jr. High has a major difference with the survival of High School. There are people that are 3 or more years older than you, and they would pick on you because you are new. It's a tradition. So don't worry you just have to wait to pick on the new people when your a sophomore. People go through phases in their lives, so there will be clicks. Such as the jocks, the girly girls, the emo punk kids, the just totally weird people, the band people, and many more. You'd be scared of where you fit in, but trust me that doesn't matter. Believe me that you would have a friend from each cliques.

All i can say now is to have a great time in high school. Make it memorable, and it's a time for you to speak up. Be yourself, and always be you. Never try to be someone else to fit in because there is someone who will accept you for who you are!

you'll never know till you find out

9 students were chosen from my 3rd period English class to have a project while my teacher was gone for about 2 weeks. The project had 50 questions to research about. It had different topics, such as business, History, general Interest, Science, Archeology, Politics, Art, Literature, Architecture, World Issues, and Miscellaneous. We students felt like we were being suffered, and all that was in our heads were WHY? Mr. Turbitt's main goal here is for us students to increase our knowledge about everything. To know how to research, to be better students, and to know what to do. We learned a lot all right. Things we never expected to know. We learned things we never knew existed in this world today. I have learned a lot, but there is one question that caught me in surprise. The question where we had the read the article about a report that came out about the existence of an ossuary that may be of a brother of Christ? If you do not know what is an ossuary it is a chest, building, well, or site made to serve as the final resting place of human skeletal remains. I didn't know anything about this article so i searched it and i found it.
"World Exclusive article about evidence of Jesus written in stone, claiming that they found the actual ossuary of "James, Brother of Jesus" in Jerusalem. Interestingly, they announced the find as the "earliest historical reference of Jesus yet found." Since they claimed the inscription on the box occurred around 70 C.E. that would agree with everything claimed by this thesis (that no contemporary evidence exists for Jesus). (Note that even if the box script proved authentic, it would not provide evidence for Jesus simply because no one knew who wrote the script or why. It would only show the first indirect mention of an alleged Jesus and it could not serve as contemporary evidence simply because it didn't come into existence until long after the alleged death of Jesus.)This discovery is still under debate to scientist and church scholars if it’s still true or not. "

I'm just speechless with this article, because as i said it never said anything about Jesus having a brother in the bible. This is another thing like the Davinci's code. Saying that Jesus had an affair with Mary and they had kids. Well we really don't know what to believe. The only way we could know is if we were there during the time of Jesus Christ.

Another thing that caught my attention, was the research about Pontius Pilate. He is a roman governor who historians say that he murdered a person named, Jesus. Which the bible has a whole different view of him. Pontius Pilate didn't kill Jesus, the people ordered to crucify him. Pilate made the citizens chose to free Christ or a criminal named Barabbas. Barabbas was a criminal, responsible for insurgence, murder and robbery.

Today they have found evidence of Pontius Pilate's existence. Archaeological evidence shows a14 foot-long linen sheet, which has remained in a cathedral in Turin since 1578, a forgery because of carbon-dating tests performed in 1988. Three different independent radiocarbon dating laboratories in Zurich, Oxford and the University of Arizona yielded a date range of 1260-1390 C.E. (consistent with the time period of Charny's claimed ownership).

what to believe?

---There are over 4,200 religions in the world right now. And their main goal is to influence the people in believing what they truly think is right. The question here is, what is right? who to believe? And who to trust. People seem to believe in a religion from their culture. Which they are forced to believe in. So wheres their faith in that? The other way they believe in a religion is that they are convinced, but aren't they convinced with the rest of the 4,999 religions out their. How do they know if what they are believing in is faith.

---I'm a christian not a catholic. In your head is what's the difference? There is a major difference between catholic and christians. Catholics believe in confessing their sins to a preist for god's forgiveness. Christians dont have to confess their sin to anybody else but god. We can always communicate to god by our prayers. We dont have to go through hold for god's forgiveness, christian faith is direct to god. So we dont believe in confessing our sins to a guy we dont even trust. Priest here in this island are not even good role models. One of them smokes, have sex, and in catholic religions priests aren't suppose to get married or even have sex once they are a priest, and one is even known to be gay. YOur confessing your sins to a guy who does sins to. So aren't we like equal? why cant we just confess our sins to jesus christ. If a sinfull person does it why cant we? The other thing about our difference is that we dont have to go through classes, you know the ccd's, to be accepted in getting married. I just think thats crazy. Another thing about my religion christianity, we dont have to worship idols. God is in our hearts we worship him by singing and praising him. So what you see is a huge difference.

--I know what im believing is right. I just don't know it, but i feel it. My relationship with jesus has been growing. Im getting to know him more and more, and my love for him is growing. My faith for him is very strong. And if i die today will i be going to heaven, and yes i know i will because i believe in him, and i've accepted him as my personal lord and savior.

doubt in it. There are buddhism, hinduism, confucianism, atheism, and just so many more. But the only way to know what your believing in is right it is what your heart feels.
